How do we define our Landscape ?
The natural landscape which much of our peri-urban centers encompass are not truly a natural landscape, but an urban/nature of semi-natural habitats and human influenced ecosystems specifically present in urban areas.
Our anthropogenic landscapes are never still - they are constantly evolving, changing, mutating, adapting. Envisioning our future landscapes as static entities will lead to further environmental degradation and misuse.
New eyes are opening within us. We are beginning to see things as never before. We will need to be strong and steadfast. From a condition of Denial to Embracement, we can create a culture where we understand the Natural Environment and all needs can be met sufficiently and sustainably.
