How do we Build our Environment?

What is our relationship to and relationship with nature?
Built forms are reflections of our culture and current socio-political attitudes. Efficient capitalism has created a dilemma : our American spatial identity is shrinking quickly. Our values need to change quickly and our relationships need to be ecological. Our future landscapes of use need to be an extension of the environment – not an extension of the existing urban centers and other generated landscapes.
Nature is something that is made – a construct – yet we can do it consciously and well. I urge all of us to utilize our conscience well when making decisions within our landscape.
